Amazing story I had my first back surgery for years ago my second one two years ago and that one put me in a wheelchair and I have cancer of course so that doesn’t help anything at all, but it’s kidney cancer and managed but at the same time I now have a third disc that’s bolting out like a knot on my back and Intense pain of course I’ve been on Pain Management for almost 5 years as well due to the severe pain in my back. I am totally blind and doctors. Don’t wanna help me. I don’t know if it’s Medicare. I don’t really understand but they tell me my cases, too complicated and that There are fear of infections and all these excuses, but they don’t help me when you are totally blind you can’t even reach out to people. I can watch the video and tell you my comment, but it doesn’t get me any help and I’m stuck in a system that feels like they know it all and breaking out of that system in Richmond, Virginia when you are on disability and Medicare, and when you are disabled and can only depend on certain people to help you, I don’t have family or anyone it is just me and at 50 years old I can barely keep my apartment clean and get people to help me. I survive on milk and I have lived on milk for almost 19 months no solid foods because of the nausea and of course, all of these things I’m sure some of our attributed to the pain medications which I have managed well however, there’s still a part of my life. I don’t think this misery has any into it at all. I almost wonder if they did all of this just to make my life hell 4:45 4:45 4:45 4:45 4:45 I really don’t remember what I’m supposed to feel like as a normal person anymore or what normal feels like at all. I would be lucky if I ever worked again but I would love to have some of my life back. My wife died five years ago and I feel like I must’ve died with her because I’ve done nothing but have surgeries from kidney surgery to back surgeries, and they just seems to be no end. Just wanna walk around and touch trees and feel normal. At least as normal as I can with my disability I’m not trying to complain. I’m trying to stay the fact this is one case of so many of us who are overlooked I’m not trying to. I’m just saying I’m willing to give that a try and try to be understanding, but I wish there were people out here more spine pros who were really out here available to people like me, because even if you told me to come to you and see you because how would I get there? I can’t drive and I am blind in wheelchair plans truly I think they’re just gonna keep pushing pills at me and sending me home because of risk or whatever other excuse, I don’t even understand the excuses anymore.

Don’t get too excited I had microdiscectomy L4/L5 large herniated disc. Yes the surgery worked, I had 11 years pain free, but sciatic pain is back and will not respond to treatment. My doctor was very uninvolved and I had no idea I should be doing things to prevent this is from coming back. Well looks like it is a chronic issue now and I may have to live with this the rest of my life. Should I choose to live. To anyone out there become your own doctor, you’ll be much better off and do your research. Healthcare in Canada is so poor now and you can’t even pay for a private MRI anymore. Huge waits, lack of machines and doctors here.

There's nothing wrong with "a big line down my back...." I have one. I also have another "big line" going from my right shoulder, to beneath my right breast, as well as a scar from my chest tube.... Her statement is quite a rude and insensitive.... "Know your audience..." You should EXPECT people who have had "big lines" from back surgery (such as myself) to come to this video. And then you're gonna say junk, like that....? K. My scars make me who I am, today, idgaf if you apparently think they're ugly. I find your lack of filter ugly... I'm sure I'm not the only person with "big lines" who has watched this video and was offended - I'm just the first to say something.

I have double Pars and been living with it for 30 years waiting for surgery to improve. I do core stability exercises, keep fit and still have issues. One thing that seems to help is sleeping on my back with a pillow under my hamstrings. I think it curls my tailbone / L5 S1 vertibrae in towards my stomach and opens up the disc allowing any inflammation to go down. Anyway it seems to help.

The sad part for the fusions is the "if done correctly" can mostly be achieved on paper. The fusion with rigid fixation is fundamentally wrong by significantly altering the biomechanics of the spine designed by the mighty God.

I totally agree with Dr's approach about preserving the God's creation as possible as you can. Unfortunately most of the surgeons were only trained for doing fusions and they will recommend fusions without any hesitation. The fusions with rods, plate and screws are extremely invasive surgeries which will certainly lead to more surgeries for the suffering patients.

Do spine surgeons still harvest autologous cancellous bone for their procedures? If so, do they prefer their graft morselized/dessicated or unaltered/structurally intact?

What about free floating fragments inside the disc ? How does one heal if there are fragments inside the disc aggravating the nerves ? I know all don’t have pain from an annular tear but for the ones who do , what can we do ? Tia

this is my question too..I see many youtube videos of surgeons (Dr. Mork and Dr. Kim) using a dye to highlight/locate the dead tissue/fragments (discogram) and then removing that tissue. my problem is that I cannot find a surgeon near me that does this procedure. they all want to replace the disc. The Surgeons on youtube are cash only - no insurance taken - so that eliminates me. Otherwise I would fly out to California and have this done..

My name is Angelina, and I am an 18-year-old working student. I am writing to you today with a heartfelt plea for help regarding my medical condition. Several years ago, I was diagnosed with dextro-levoscoliosis 44° & 48°, a condition that has caused my spine to curve, leading to significant physical discomfort and limitations in my daily life. As time has passed, my condition has worsened, and my doctors have recommended scoliosis surgery as the best course of action to prevent further complications and improve my quality of life. Unfortunately, my family and I are facing severe financial constraints, making it impossible for me to afford the necessary surgery on my own. As a working student, I have been doing my best to contribute to our household and support my mother, who has a mental disability and relies on my care. However, the costs of the surgery and ongoing medical care are overwhelming, leaving us in a desperate situation. I am reaching out to you, not only as a last resort but also with the hope that your kindnessg and generosity may extend a helping hand to someone in need. Your support, no matter how big or small, would make an enormous difference in my life, allowing me to undergo the scoliosis surgery and regain my health and mobility. If you find it in your heart to assist me in this journey, any financial contribution or resources you can offer will be sincerely appreciated. Additionally, if you know of any organizations or charities that could provide aid to individuals in my situation, I would be grateful for any information you can share. Thank you for taking the time to read my message and considering my request for help. Your support would not only impact my life but also the lives of my family members, as it would relieve the burden on them and ensure I can continue caring for my mother while focusing on my recovery. If you require any further information or have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at 09455865621 or angelinabarnido0125@gmail. Om. I am more than willing to provide any necessary documentation or additional details. Once again, thank you for your compassion and understanding. I hope that, with your assistance, I can overcome this obstacle and look forward to a brighter and healthier future. Warm regards, Angelina Salazar Barnido
